Spoken Arabic in today's world

Colloquial or Spoken arabic is more than thirty in different forms. Common dialects are Algerian Arabic,Sudanese, North Levantine, Egyptian Arabic. They are quite different as they vary from region to region.The Arabic spoken is the colloquial arabic and modern standard arabic is greatly used in reading writing and all in normal usage.

Old Arabic Language

Arabic language roots are connected to Aramaic and Hebrew language. The language is classified as Semitic that is which is based on a consonantal root system. Which means usage of language without vowel sound.The Language was originally spoken in Arabian peninsula then started spreading rapidly in 7th Century Old Arabic is the Quranic Arabic that is used in Quran.

Modern Arabic

The Modern Arabic is only used for all concerns in day to day activities and work. Colloquial arabic is used in speech which is not like the old arabic.It is casual in style and is the 6th official language which UN has recognized.

The dialects of Arabic

There are different varieties of dialects and have great variation from one region to another. The dialects of Arabic spoken in Egypt,Sudan,Algeria,Saudi Arab are all different. Some are so different that may find uncomprhensible if being a newbie with respect to that particular dialect. However the modern Arabic has gained popularity and is used in all forms for general usage.
